In SOMAprobes we have a multidisciplinary team formed by the founding partners, executives with extensive experience in business development in the area of Biotechnology and a group of scientists with an important background in Biotechnology and Chemistry dedicated to the R&D of the company.
SOMAprobes leverages its knowledge about the biochemistry of nucleases and oligonucleotides substrates to develop products that combine specificity, sensitivity and speed, with innovative properties, such as the possibility of measuring the biological activity of the pathology in situ. By optimising these features, SOMAprobes aims to generate tools with properties beyond the reach of existing technologies for use in a wide range of applications, starting with more sensitive diagnostic kits for sepsis, coronavirus and other human conditions, such as cancer.
